In 1984, best friends Eric Bensussen and Jay Deutsch transformed a shared passion for sports into a thriving business that has redefined an industry. Originally founded as Sports Marketing Inc., the company was dedicated to connecting fans to the teams they loved through merchandise. As the company grew, broadened its focus into corporate America and began hiring associates, Jay and Eric renamed the agency Bensussen Deutsch & Associates, Inc. (BDA). Since this time, BDA has earned a reputation for helping companies extend their brands through the power of merchandise. By taking a full-service approach to creating merchandise that fully integrates into a client’s brand framework and business objectives, BDA has succeeded in transforming the three-dimensional advertising category and a new concept was born: the Merchandise AgencySM.
Today, BDA is more than 500 associates strong and operates in offices across the globe to bring their clients’ brands to life through merchandise that interacts, involves and inspires. In addition to working with hundreds of the Fortune 1000’s most admired brands, BDA also manages merchandise promotions in conjunction with leading Hollywood studios, all the major sports leagues (MLB, NBA, NFL, and the NHL), and many of the top gaming companies.
